Power and Performance
The 2026 GMC Sierra EV is powered by an electric 2-motor eAWD system that produces up to 760 horsepower and 785 lb-ft of torque when properly configured and using the Max Power mode. What separates one truck from the next is the battery. Elevation and Denali come in Standard Range and Extended Range form, Denali adds a Max Range battery, and AT4 pairs Extended and Max Range batteries with an off-road setup.
This electric GMC truck still offers excellent towing capabilities. Extended Range configurations pull as much as 12,500 lbs when properly equipped. Payload runs the opposite direction, because a bigger battery weighs more: 2,250 lbs on Standard Range models, 1,950 lbs on AT4 Extended Range, 1,700 lbs on Elevation and Denali Extended Range, and 1,500 lbs on Max Range trims.
